Game 94 recap

I finally got one right, and the Brewers took the first game of four against the Pirates.

The offense was terrible, but luckily, ever hit by the Brewers came around to score. The Brewers only had three hits total, and didn't have a base runner until the 5th inning. Two of those hits were home runs, Weeks and Fielder, and the third hit, Gomez, was on base when Weeks rounded the bases.

Capuano pitch exactly like I predicted, 5 strong innings, 1 ER, 3 hits allowed. He also earned his first win in over 3 years. He definitely made a case to replace a struggling starter in the rotation. The rookie bullpen held the Pirate scoreless the rest of the game. Axford got his 12 save in dramatic fashion, 2 BB followed by 2 K's and a ground out.

MVB: Weeks, 1-4, 2 RBI HR
LVB: Hart, 0-4, 2 K, ending 9 game hit streak.

I am now 1-4, while the Brewers are 3-2 since this blogs creation.
